The Hampton is located right next to The Hudson, another property owned by Brazos Residential, and shares a boundary line with it. The community is situated on the city's main north-south thoroughfare and is positioned on the desirable north side of Fayetteville.

Fayetteville, which is the fifth largest metropolitan area in North Carolina, is home to one of the world's largest military installations, Fort Bragg. Brazos was able to acquire The Hampton off-market, bypassing the standard bidding process.
