Wesley Love joined Brazos Residential in April 2022. He is responsible for oversight of all construction, tax, and accounting functions for the portfolio. Prior to joining Brazos, Wesley was an executive for both Sumitomo Forestry and one of its largest subsidiaries, Gehan Homes, where he was involved in the acquisition and construction of more than $6B of assets. His accomplishments during his tenure with both companies include creating a National Procurement group consolidating the purchasing power of six residential subsidiaries of Sumitomo America, establishing the Build to Rent division of Gehan Homes where he worked closely with some of the largest multi-family owners in the country, and launching sales tax and energy tax credit programs that generated more than $5M in annual cost savings. Wesley began his career at Crowe Horwath providing audit services to public and large private companies focused in financial services.
Wesley received his MBA from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of South Alabama and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He resides in Frisco, TX with his wife and two daughters.
